Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor is designed for mid-range smartphones
Qualcomm has fully disclosed the specifications of the Snapdragon 860 processor, which debuted as part of the powerful Poco X3 Pro smartphone

Basically, the Snapdragon 860 is a slightly improved version of the 2019 Snapdragon 855+ solution. The architecture provides for the presence of eight Kryo 485 cores with a clock frequency of up to 2.96 GHz. Manufacturing standards are 7 nanometers.

The Snapdragon 860 includes the Adreno 640 graphics accelerator. It claims support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 wireless communication, NFC technology, GPS / Beidou / Galileo / GLONASS satellite navigation, cameras with a resolution of up to 192 million pixels.

The maximum supported LPDDR4x RAM is 16 GB versus 12 GB for the Snapdragon 855+. Other changes relate to camera capabilities.

The Snapdragon 860 platform includes the fourth generation Snapdragon X24 LTE modem with cellular connectivity. Additionally, the Snapdragon X50 5G module can be used.

The processor is designed for mid-range smartphones. Obviously, in the near future, devices based on this platform will be presented by well-known players of the mobile market.
